Tele2 and Com Hem merged to create a leading connectivity company by combining an award-winning mobile network with the fastest national fixed network.
As a design team we where responsible for the redesign of Tele2.se, including all purchase flows and merging the content and offer for both brands online. I was mainly in charge of the e-commerce experience.

While we were driving the new visual transformation, Tele2 and Com Hem combined their technical infrastructures. Our challenge was to ensure a smooth shopping experience as we seamlessly merged the two technical platforms.

Since Tele2s portfolio also grew with a lot of new products I needed to take that into consideration when designing the new purchase flows. A checkout that could handle all the different products separately but also in the long run could handle multiple product categories simulataneuously.

Systemizing design
A big part of redesigning a complete site was to figure out how we could work more systemized with design. We set up a designsystem in Figma that organicly grew as we fleshed out all pages for the site.
This took some extra effort and time but the upside is that we got our most used components collected in the process, making new pages very quick to design.

We continuously prototyped and user-tested the new site. Due to pandemic restrictions, we couldn't meet users in the office, instead we setup methods for remote user testing. Ultimately, we conducted more rounds of testing using the remote setup because it was more convenient for both us and the participants.
